Hello, I’m Amanda, and I would love the opportunity to help you and your child reach the next level of your educational goals. I am an experienced tutor, having started tutoring other students while I was still in high school and continuing to do so regularly ever since. My preferred grade range for tutoring spans from fourth grade all the way up through 10th grade.

For the past three years, I’ve been providing substitute teaching services in a public school setting, working with elementary, middle, and high school students. I specialize in math, science, history, and english but I’m also happy to provide support in other subjects. Additionally, I have experience working with special needs students.

Prior to substitute teaching, I spent several years teaching adult professionals communication and motivational interviewing skills in a classroom setting.

I am truly passionate about the work I do. I love engaging young people in the learning process, and there is nothing more exciting to me than helping students experience success.

I enjoy creating personalized learning plans to meet each student’s unique needs. I believe that building a strong rapport with my students is key to creating a learning environment where they feel safe, confident, and open to learning. I use a student-centered approach, emphasizing patience, clarity, and positive reinforcement. My goal is to make learning fun and accessible by breaking down complex concepts and guiding students to become independent problem solvers.

I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your goals and how I can help, and I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Before beginning lessons, I will always send a reminder of my policies by email to ensure everything is clear.
