I have been working with students as a teacher’s assistant for about two years now, helping guide high schoolers, university students, and even adult learners with course material. My general approach is to meet learners where they are in their understanding of a topic, and work with them to build on that knowledge and their confidence.
Personally speaking, the most fulfilling part of learning something is having a complete and solid grasp on that concept, and the feeling of confidence and accomplishment that comes with it. I love seeing students have that “Eureka!” moment when something they have struggled a lot with finally click for them with the right tools and/or instruction, and I hope to have the honor of unlocking that moment for my students with my tailored guidance.
