Hi, I’m Amy. I genuinely love the LSAT, and helping students perform at their full potential. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and later completed a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, which gave me a strong foundation in how people learn and perform under pressure. During undergrad, I tutored through my institution for three years in a one-on-one setting (primarily college-aged students). That experience taught me how to explain difficult material in a way that is clear, structured, and actually usable. Since taking the LSAT, I’ve begun tutoring others and would love to support more students on their LSAT journey.
My tutoring approach is built around the simple idea that score gains come from both deeper understanding of the test and changing the repeatable decisions you make under time pressure. I scored a 178 (99.7th percentile) on the 2025 LSAT under standard conditions, and I tutor using a structured “talk-aloud” method so I can hear exactly where reasoning goes off track in real time. We use timed work to identify patterns like timing breakdowns, recurring trap answers, and predictable question types, then focus your practice on fixing the specific bottlenecks that are holding your score back. I aim to create a calm environment while still pushing you to think precisely and consistently, because the LSAT is ultimately about executing at a high cognitive level under constraints.
My background in psychology and counseling also helps me teach practical test-day execution skills like pacing, attention control, and having a reset plan when you get stuck. This is strictly educational tutoring and performance coaching, not therapy.
