My musical training has been shaped by seven years of private flute study, including the last four and a half years with Zart Dombourian-Eby (former Principal Piccolo of the Seattle Symphony). This fall, I will continue my education at the University of Michigan as a Music Performance major with a minor in Biology under Amy Porter.

My teaching experience spans both volunteer and structured instructional settings. I have frequently supported younger high school students and family friends in Algebra 1, helping them strengthen foundational problem-solving skills. I have a strong foundation in Algebra 1, reinforced through advanced STEM coursework such as AP Physics 1, AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, and General Chemistry, all of which required daily use of algebraic reasoning. I earned A’s in these classes and continue to build my analytical skills as a Music Performance major with a Biology minor at the University of Michigan. I’ve also supported younger students and family friends in Algebra 1, helping them strengthen core problem‑solving skills and gain confidence in their coursework.

I have also mentored beginning middle school flutists in weekly one-on-one sessions since 2022, creating lesson plans, demonstrating technique, and helping students build confidence. As a flute intern with the Seattle Youth Symphony's summer program, I worked with intermediate players in orchestral and chamber environments.

Whether I am teaching music or math, I focus on patience, clarity, and encouragement, creating a learning environment where students feel supported and capable.

I have seven years of private flute study, including four and a half years with Zart Dombourian‑Eby, and I will continue my training with Amy Porter at the University of Michigan. My performance background includes serving as Co‑Principal Flute and Piccolo with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, leading my high school wind ensemble as Principal Flute, performing with the National Flute Association High School Flute Choir, and participating in masterclasses with Heather Zinninger, Bonita Boyd, Anne Harrow, Sharon Sparrow, and Jonathan Keeble. I have also strengthened my musicianship through programs such as the Artistic Flutist Masterclass at Eastman, Illinois Summer Youth Music, and the Marrowstone Music Festival. In addition to performing, I have mentored beginning and intermediate flutists through volunteer work, my own private teaching studio, and an internship with the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra’s summer program, helping students build strong fundamentals and confidence in both solo and ensemble settings.
