Dear Students,

My name is Dr. Ify, and I am excited to support you in your learning journey. I hold a Doctor of Engineering in Engineering Management, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering, and I am a licensed Professional Environmental Engineer (PE). Over the years, I have built a strong academic and professional foundation that equips me to tutor confidently in math, chemistry, biology, physics, and chemical/environmental engineering. I have over a decade of experience tutoring and mentoring students at different levels, from high school to graduate school. My tutoring has included one-on-one support for high school students in algebra, geometry, calculus, chemistry, and physics, as well as guiding undergraduates and graduate students through advanced courses such as thermodynamics, mass and energy balances, reaction engineering, and process design. In addition, I have mentored interns and junior engineers in professional settings, which gave me a deeper appreciation of different learning styles and how to meet students where they are.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, patient, and practical. I believe that every student is capable of mastering challenging material with the right support, and I focus on breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I use real-world engineering examples to make abstract ideas more relatable, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s specific needs—whether it’s preparing for an exam, working through homework, or reinforcing foundational concepts. I also emphasize problem-solving skills and critical thinking, which not only improve grades but also build lasting confidence. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. With my blend of academic excellence, professional engineering experience, and proven tutoring success, I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.
