As a Computer Science tutor with a Bachelor's degree from Florida International University (FIU), I’m passionate about empowering students to thrive in the dynamic tech world. My education at FIU provided a strong foundation in computer science, and I’ve built on that knowledge as a Software Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Working at AWS has enhanced my technical expertise in scalable systems, cloud technologies, and high-performance computing, skills I’m excited to share with my students.

I’ve taught Full Stack Web Development for over 4 years at the University of Miami’s bootcamp, where I’ve guided a diverse group of students, aged 18 to over 50, through both front-end and back-end development. This range of ages and experiences has made my teaching rewarding, as I’ve learned to adapt my approach to suit each student's needs, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

At the bootcamp, I’ve taught HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Node.js, and Express. I’ve also covered databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms like AWS, enabling students to build scalable, real-world applications. My teaching philosophy emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and practical problem-solving, ensuring students grasp both theoretical concepts and how to apply them in real-world scenarios.

I strive to build confidence in my students by offering personalized support and creating an inclusive classroom atmosphere where questions are encouraged. The most rewarding aspect of teaching is seeing students experience their "aha" moments—whether debugging code or deploying their first app. Watching them evolve from beginners to skilled full-stack developers is a testament to the value of persistence, hard work, and a supportive learning environment.
