I’m currently studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, and I’ve been tutoring students in math, physics, and other subjects for about three years. I’ve taken courses in high school and college level calculus, differential equations, college physics, and programming, which have helped me build a strong foundation in the subjects I teach. I also scored a 790 on the SAT Math section and have experience with AP Calculus and AP Physics coursework.

From November 2024 to present, I worked as a freelance math and physics tutor, helping 6 high school students with AP Calculus AB and AP Physics 1 & 2. During our sessions, I focused on explaining difficult concepts step-by-step, working through practice problems together and preparing students for exams. I’ve also volunteered as an online English tutor for five Ukrainian students and taught introductory coding to elementary and middle school students through workshops organized by my school’s Computer Science Honors Society.
These experiences have given me practice working with students of different ages and learning styles. My approach is to make sure students understand why something works, rather than just memorizing formulas or steps. I usually start by identifying what a student is struggling with, explain the concept using simpler examples, and then work through practice questions until they’re comfortable solving problems independently. I adjust the pace depending on the student and encourage questions throughout the session. My goal is to help students become more confident in their understanding of math and physics, while improving their problem solving ability. If you're looking for help in any math or physics concept including middle school, high school, SAT, or college level, feel free to reach out, I'd love to work with you!
