I'm a math and programming tutor with a strong foundation in both theory and application. I've studied mathematics extensively, from algebra and geometry through calculus, probability, and proof-based topics including set theory and group theory. On the programming side, I build full-stack web applications professionally using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, which means I bring real-world software engineering context to my programming instruction rather than just textbook exercises. I also have a solid background in physics, covering mechanics, electromagnetism, and special relativity at the IB and AP level.

I've been teaching for several years through both structured programs and one-on-one instruction. As a volunteer instructor with an international education nonprofit, I taught Python fundamentals to middle and high school students in small group and individual sessions over video call. That experience shaped my approach to tutoring — I focus on building real understanding by breaking problems into smaller steps, asking guiding questions, and letting students work through the reasoning themselves rather than just showing them the answer. I find that students retain concepts far better when they discover the logic on their own with the right support.

I tutor math from pre-algebra through calculus, Python and Java programming, and introductory to intermediate physics. I'm fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese and happy to work with students in either language.
