I hold a bachelors degree in computer science attained from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA. I graduated in 2018, and have since been in the industry working as a software engineer. I have experience consulting and configuring tax software solutions for government agencies. I also have experience for the state archives division of the Washington Secretary of State. Building and maintaining applications that help us maintain our states archival records both physical and digital.

During my time in college I served as a tutor for two quarters tutoring 15-20 students at a time in lower level CS courses. We worked in Visual Basic and also built a simple animation project using Alice. Tutoring provides me with a rewarding experience when you can see the light bulb go off in a students head when you are trying to get the idea across. I think the best way especially for computer science is to allow your students to do everything themselves and not tell them where to point and click. As a student it is more rewarding and the knowledge will stick with you if you figure it out yourself with the guidance from a tutor not step-by-step directions.

I have enjoyed my time and experience in the industry and learning the trade and processes of a business or government. I also enjoy the rewards of tutoring and teaching and that is why I have decided to become a tutor to potentially help you learn that new programming language or tricky computer science concept you just can't quite wrap your head around.
