I had a pleasant experience teaching and excelled at achieving the outcomes, in which the students responded highly and the school recognized me as an exceptional teacher. I was assigned a class that no other teacher could handle as the students were low performers, who skipped school, and got into all kinds of trouble. When I became their class teacher, slowly more and more students started showing up to classes, started performing better, and they actually showed interest in their school work. I paid attention to each student and they started responding accordingly. The greatest achievement for me was seeing those students go from low performers to high performers, their success to me was worth more than anything.
I left teaching in Fiji as I was offered a scholarship to study in Australia. I studied the freshman year at the University of New South Wales. I would have advanced to sophomore year but I decided to get married to Ted, who i met in Fiji at the high school I was teaching at before going to Australia.
Ted and I moved to Seattle, Washington, as Ted was accepted into graduate school at University of Washington. I completed my undergraduate at University of Washington, in biochemistry and chemistry. I had an opportunity to tutor a chemistry student in Seattle, she did very well in that class.
I completed my master of education in adult education and training from the University of Phoenix, online division, in March, 2011 with a GPA of 3.96.
Then I enrolled in an MBA program through Kaplan University and to finish with a 4.0 GPA.
I joined Wyzant in 2010, and had a great opportunity to help prepare a pre-six sigma student for his six sigma certification. He passed his six sigma exam and is enjoying applying all the knowledge he acquired to
