I recently graduated from Pomona College with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Over the past several years, I’ve worked with students across a variety of STEM subjects, including mathematics, physics, standardized test preparation, computer science, and problem solving. I have more than two years of experience tutoring math, physics, and ACT/SAT preparation in one-on-one settings, and I recently served as a Computer Science Teaching Assistant for an advanced algorithms course at Pomona College. Through these experiences, I’ve worked with students at different ages and experience levels, helping them strengthen fundamentals, prepare for exams, and build confidence in challenging subjects.

My tutoring approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I try to identify where a student’s confusion begins and explain concepts in multiple ways until they click. Whether we’re working through algebra problems, calculus proofs, programming assignments, or test preparation, my goal is to help students become more independent and confident over time. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, so I aim to create a patient and encouraging environment.

In addition to tutoring, my background includes research in human-computer interaction, software engineering projects, and advanced coursework in mathematics and computer science. I’m comfortable helping middle school, high school, and college students with subjects including algebra, precalculus, calculus, statistics, physics, introductory programming, algorithms, and standardized test preparation. I enjoy helping students improve grades, prepare for exams, and develop stronger long-term study habits.
