I have over ten years of experience tutoring students in high school and college chemistry, including general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry. I believe each student is unique and I strive to work with students to find the method that works best for them.
I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cornell University with a concentration in experimental physical chemistry. I was also a full-time teaching associate for general chemistry and organic chemistry. I was the head TA for Cornell's largest general chemistry course with over 700 students.
I have taught individuals in both office hours and independent tutoring settings. I also have experience working with small groups and course-wide review sessions.
I am particularly committed to supporting students with diverse levels of preparation and experience. During my undergraduate studies, I founded a STEM study hall where I hosted an open 2-hour session five nights a week for students taking general and organic chemistry. During the study hall, I tutored up to twenty (20) students at a time, either guiding them through exam prep or providing one-on-one feedback to meet a variety of learning needs.
I look forward to working with you to meet your learning needs.
