My educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Washington. This foundation wasn't just about memorizing formulas; it was about understanding the underlying logic and beauty of mathematical principles. I've always believed that anyone can grasp even the most challenging concepts, provided they are taught in a way that resonates with them. My own experience navigating complex coursework fuels my passion for making these subjects accessible and enjoyable for my students.

For the past 15 years, I have been a dedicated educator, working one-on-one with students ranging in ages from elementary school through college. My approach is highly personalized because I know every student has a unique way of learning. I don't follow a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Instead, I take the time to identify a student's specific learning style and build a customized plan that addresses their individual needs and goals. I often use relatable analogies and real-world examples to demystify abstract concepts, whether we're tackling an AP Calculus problem or understanding the basics of Algebra. My primary goal is always to build a student's confidence, because once a student believes they can succeed, a whole new world of learning opens up to them.

The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing that "aha!" moment, when a student's face lights up as a difficult concept finally clicks. I don't just teach for tests or grades; I teach for true understanding. My ultimate mission is to empower students to become independent thinkers and confident problem-solvers. I believe in giving them the tools and strategies to tackle any challenge, both inside and outside the classroom. Seeing a student not only succeed but also feel proud of their own progress is the reason I do what I do.
