I am a Computer Science and Applied Mathematics double major who can help with both subjects including Spanish as well. I worked at the tutoring center in my community college for three years. During that time I was trained in different learning styles and ways to teach my subjects in a more efficient way.

I am a Computer Science and Applied Mathematics double major who can help with both subjects including Spanish as well. I worked at the tutoring center in my community college for three years. During that time I was trained in different learning styles and ways to teach my subjects in a more efficient way.

I have a great amount of experience in Mathematics since I've been taking many math classes for a few years. Also, as I mentioned before, I have been a tutor for three years and I love helping people to understand new concepts, but most importantly enjoy math and see how useful it can be.

I was born in Peru. I lived there for 15 years, and of course Spanish is my native language. I was always trained during my time as a tutor to more effectively teach people how to learn Spanish, and practice it together.

I have been a tutor for a few years, but more importantly I really care about my subjects, and I would love to be helpful to students who are just starting on math or students who are in the major and need a little bit more help.

He is able to teach me the problems in different ways, writes everything out so I can see it which really helps since I am a visual person. Jose is a very patient tutor, doesn't like to skip ahead until you learn what your on. He knows his stuff and how to find something new. Also he is always ready to teach!!! Recommend!

Patient and diligent tutor.

Let me start off by saying how patient Jose is. He takes you step by step through each process and makes sure you fully understand what you need to do and why it needs to be that way. I had several questions throughout the lesson and he never made me feel as if I asked something silly. This is my first time using Wyzant and because of the experience I had with Jose, I will definitely continue using this platform with him as my tutor.

Jose was really good! After just 1 lesson, I decided to schedule two lessons a week for the foreseeable future! He takes his time, explains things, and doesn't just finish things FOR you. He actually helps you learn. Absolutely recommend!

Extremely Bright and Accommodating

Jose taught(is teaching) me linear algebra and differential equations, C++, and discrete mathematics. I’ve been struggling in my classes lately and his background in Computer Science and Math is extremely helpful for a CS major! He actually gives me space to solve the problems rather than just doing everything for me and expecting me to follow along. I don’t know what I would do without him! So lucky to have found this tutor!!
