I will teach you how to oversimplify mathematical ideas in ways that are objectively wrong, but subjectively useful.
These methods will create a foundation for analogously reasoning that will bridge purely logical approaches. We will also attempt pictures and other forms of "reasoning" before we employ the boring and long rigorous, almost axiomatic logic.

These methods will create a foundation for analogously reasoning that will bridge purely logical approaches. We will also attempt pictures and other forms of "reasoning" before we employ the boring and long rigorous, almost axiomatic logic.
We will learn a third view beyond viewing math as a theoretical discipline and as a practical toolkit for solving scientific and engineering problems. We shall learn how to play the math "game(s)."
My teaching specialties include the subjects of (this is not a fully comprehensive list): calculus 1-3, complex variables, linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, numerical analysis, ordinary/partial differential equations, and real analysis. I also teach Python for coding practice, specifically on scientific and mathematical coding-style problems.
Please note that I specialize in motivating STEM majors looking to transition towards their junior and senior years.
