I was a senior guide for a wilderness therapy company working with students that were previously in free-fall. ADHD was one of the most common issues for the adolescents that went there. I have extensive experience helping ADHD students identify the things preventing them from sitting down and working (e.g. physical self-care, hiding emotions, exercise, disconnection from goals).

I've tutored students in a range of environmental subjects at levels up to undergraduate classes. At the University of Michigan I lectured on conservation ethics and indigenous-federal conservation collaborations, and taught multi-discipline writing. In the quantitative sciences, my fields of experience are conservation ecology, atmospheric science, climate science, and forest and marine ecology. My research specialty is the evaluation of conservation policy/practices in the context of cultural values and resource management.

Knowledgeable and Patient tutor

Mr Sam taught reading and writing skills to my 7th grader in person. He was very patient and got my son interested in reading a book that he provided. We are satisfied with his tutoring skills and friendly behavior towards my son. Unfortunately he is moving out of town and my son will miss a great tutor.
