I customize lessons to the individual student's strengths and weaknesses and have taught from very beginner level to college students with great success for both.
I have a 160-hour Master Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language where I received training in teaching English to Young Learners, Teaching Listening, Speaking, Reading Writing, Vocabulary, and Pronunciation, and Student Assessment. I also earned a Master of Public Health Degree in Epidemiology with a 4.0 grade point average from a top public health program and currently work in government as a full time epidemiologist.
My past ESL students have ranged from Chinese elementary students to Saudi college students to Honduran adults. I also tutor graduate level public health students in epidemiology and biostatistics. I believe in tracking each student's progress in order to buildup their weaknesses and reinforce their strengths. I work with my students to set appropriate goals and create a plan to work toward them.
