Extensive teaching experience and higher education!

I am an experienced and enthusiastic tutor. I completed a Tutor Training program while finishing my PhD at Durham University, which is a World Top 100 university. After this training, I taught classes of undergraduates in Durham University’s history department and gave lectures and talks at various local societies and international conferences. I have also been trained in teaching ESL to Chinese students through online teaching programs. I have taught dozens of students ages 5-12, and have a 4.9 approval rating out of 5 from my student’s parents. I excel at making learning fun and informative.

I worked for several years running outreach events for the Ordered Universe project. This project brought together experts from a wide range of fields from the scientific and humanities disciplines. This means that I am experienced at working with a large age range from young school students with whom we worked to build a classroom curriculum to elderly retirees who attended our events. I am capable of communicating and teaching the wide range of subjects that were encompassed in this project and that a child would need to learn in school.

I have taught a wide variety of ages and subjects. I am particularly apt at teaching subjects within the humanities. I have taught ESL, History, and Religion in the past, and have training in these subjects. I am a native English speaker, and I have a PhD, which means that I have a very advanced technical understanding of the language. I studied history and theology, and I love teaching subjects related to those fields.
