Outstanding Tutor
I worked with James over a period of several months on a masters-level dissertation in economic policy. He was an invaluable support not just through the statistical work, but through the entire analytical process. What impressed me the most was his ability to work across disciplines and to research the best statistical solutions for the topic at hand—even those that involved econometrics. Of course, this is not entirely surprising since his own educational credentials are of such high caliber. And, in practice, he is a true perfectionist and extremely committed to those he works with. I found James at the point of nearly giving up entirely on the dissertation. It was being undertaken within the context of a long-distance program with minimal support. Indeed, being on the East Coast, in order to work with James (and benefit from his LSE experience) I had to be tutored on the telephone. This worked out very well. With his knowledge and patience, James was able to turn the entire learning experience around for me. Ultimately, tutoring was something I looked forward to—not just useful but enjoyable. James is also extremely pleasant, kind, flexible, and fair-minded. I could not recommend him more strongly.
