My name is Mukuria and I am a professional nurse educator with many years of experience in the field of healthcare education. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (University of Washington) and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree (University of Delaware) and a minor in Human Development and Family Science.

As a teaching faculty in the sciences in a college currently, I serve students pursuing degrees in nursing with the most relevant knowledge in areas such as, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology as well as microbiology. Having worked as a teacher for more than 7 years, I possess not only an academic understanding of the material, but also real-life experience that I can share with students during each tutoring session.

My instructional mission is to present complicated health care content in a down to Earth and exciting manner. I find a variety of strategies to learn the subject such as interactive conversations and practical examples that allow me to assure the sufficient appropriateness and long-lasting perception of material. I design each learning experience depending on the learner so whether you are a high school student exploring the world of healthcare careers or an adult learner seeking nursing education, I adjust my style to best accommodate individual goals and learning styles.

I build a caring, positive atmosphere in which questions are encouraged and learning difficulties are handled sympathetically. I am communicative with students and families, allow feedback, and maintain effective organization of schedules in order to have an efficient tutoring experience. I aim to provide you with the information, confidence and critical thinking skills, which you will need to succeed in your healthcare studies.
