Very Knowledgeable and Fantastic Tutor

I had an excellent experience with Stevie, who was able to first identify what I needed to learn and gauge my understanding of the material before we got started. He was very patient with any questions I had and was able to solve all the issues I brought up about my website repair and troubleshooting. I learned a lot from Stevie and he explained everything clearly to me. He is clearly an expert in computer science and has a deep understanding of the subject matter. I will definitely be asking for more help from Stevie in the future!

An Extremely Knowledgeable, Efficient, and Effective Tutor!

[ A summary of points can be found at the bottom of this review. ] One of the things that makes Stevie M. stand out from all the other tutors I've met is his incredible breadth of knowledge, and how much effort he puts into the lessons. Every- Single- Time! If I asked for help coding a simple cooking game, he would come to the lesson with a fully functional prototype he had created beforehand to serve as an example. He always puts so much effort into making the lessons veritably packed with so, so, so much information. Even the times I had come to the lesson without telling him exactly what I wanted us to work on beforehand, he'd quickly write entire chunks of code and systems in under an hour. It was as impressive as it was awe-inspiring. Just going back and watching the video recordings of the lessons felt like the equivalent of sitting through 4 classes. Every time we met, he would cram more knowledge than I thought feasibly possible into each hour. It's like the equivalent of meeting 6 different tutors, packed into a simple 2 hour session. Though his pace can sometimes feel fast, I personally feel like the challenging pace encourages students to take in as much information as they can, and after the lesson, they leave feeling accomplished by all the progress they've made. After gaining more experience and knowledge of the field, I can also confirm that Stevie M. helps teach students healthy coding habits. Even if you're learning with a more atypical coding language (such as GDScript), taking lessons with Stevie M. won't make you lose the basics. He teaches students systems and style conventions that will allow them to more easily approach many other fields and share their code with different people. Thank you, Stevie M., for teaching me so much about programming. I feel like I've learned more these past 3 months I've been working with him than I did during the year-long college course I took last year. It's absolutely wonderful!
