Hello, I’m Jordan! I graduated college with Magna Cum Laude in 2021, majoring in Biology with a concentration in Zoology!
During high school, I was a peer helper and tutor for anatomy and biology for 2 years. I thoroughly enjoyed helping students with their assignments and being able to explain or clarify confusing subjects.
During my years in college, I was a chemistry 1 teaching assistant for 2 years. I mainly focused on helping students understand material that was confusing and helped them prep for upcoming tests. I enjoyed seeing the lightbulbs spark when students understood something that was challenging for them.
My tutoring approach is getting to know the student and what they need help with, then setting a lesson plan with their goals in mind. I like to use fun activities to make learning more enriching rather than boring. I’ve noticed that when using these activities, students are more engaged which allows for a better understanding.
I have also been playing guitar for around 12 years and can help beginners learn the basic chords and strum patterns. Guitar has been a large passion of mine and it is so much fun helping someone learn a new instrument.
I am here to help students reach their full potential and succeed in these subjects.
