Hello! I’m a professional private tutor who has been providing individualized academic support since 2013. Over the past decade, I’ve worked with students across all K–12 grade levels, as well as college students, with a primary focus on math, science, and English. My background in STEM education allows me to break down complex material into clear, structured, and manageable steps while maintaining high academic standards. I specialize in one-on-one instruction for students who benefit from thoughtful, personalized teaching—whether they are catching up, striving for mastery, or building confidence in challenging subjects.

My tutoring approach is calm, encouraging, and highly methodical. Each session is carefully tailored to the student’s learning style, academic goals, and school curriculum, with an emphasis on long-term growth rather than quick fixes. I regularly work with students who feel overwhelmed, disengaged, or underconfident, and I focus on restoring clarity, momentum, and a sense of capability in their learning. In addition to improving subject-specific skills, I help students develop strong study habits, organizational strategies, and independent learning skills that support success beyond tutoring sessions.

I intentionally work with a limited number of families so I can provide consistency, continuity, and focused attention for each student. I believe effective tutoring is not transactional, but relational, and I prioritize trust, professionalism, and clear communication throughout the learning process. Parents I work with value my organization, reliability, discretion, and ability to provide instruction that is both academically rigorous and supportive. My goal is always to help students feel prepared, confident, and empowered in their academic journey.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong academic foundation in algebraic reasoning, equations, functions, and problem-solving. Algebra 1 concepts were a core part of my engineering education and are foundational to all higher-level math coursework. I have experience tutoring middle and high school students in Algebra 1, where I focus on building strong fundamentals, breaking problems into clear steps, and helping students gain confidence as they develop mathematical fluency.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with extensive upper-division coursework grounded in algebraic modeling, functions, trigonometry, and applied mathematical analysis. My engineering background required regular application of Algebra 2 concepts—including functions, systems of equations, and graphical interpretation—as foundational tools for advanced problem-solving. Additionally, I have over a decade of experience tutoring students in mathematics at various levels, including Algebra 2, where I focus on strengthening core skills, clarifying abstract concepts, and building confidence through structured, step-by-step instruction.
Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2016 and have extensive academic and applied experience across core civil engineering subjects. During my undergraduate studies, I served as the head of the civil engineering tutoring department and worked as a teaching assistant and grader for statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and structural analysis, supporting students in mastering both theory and problem-solving methodology. I also conducted undergraduate research in the geotechnical engineering department, gaining experience in soil mechanics and foundation-related analysis. In addition, I completed a transportation engineering internship working directly with the Nevada Department of Transportation, where I applied engineering principles in a real-world, regulatory environment.
Geometry

Geometry

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a strong foundation in geometric reasoning and spatial problem-solving. Through my engineering coursework and professional experience, I regularly applied Geometry concepts in practical contexts. I also have experience tutoring middle and high school students in Geometry, helping them strengthen foundational skills, visualize concepts, and gain confidence.
Physics

Physics

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with rigorous upper-division coursework grounded in calculus-based physics, including mechanics, dynamics, and applied systems analysis. I served as the Head Teaching Assistant for Dynamics—a core physics-intensive engineering course closely aligned with mechanical engineering principles—where I led problem-solving sessions and supported student mastery of complex concepts. Additionally, I have over a decade of experience tutoring students in physics, helping them build strong conceptual understanding, mathematical fluency, and confidence.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with extensive upper-division coursework grounded in Precalculus concepts, including functions, trigonometry, algebraic manipulation, and graphical analysis. My engineering education relied heavily on these topics as foundational tools for advanced calculus-based problem solving. I have experience tutoring high school students in Precalculus, where I focus on organizing material, strengthening conceptual understanding, and helping students connect topics so they can approach exams with greater clarity and confidence.
Writing

Writing

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with extensive writing, analysis, and technical communication experience Over 10 years of tutoring experience, including elementary-level reading and writing Experienced in supporting spelling, sentence structure, paragraph development, and creative writing Strong focus on confidence-building, positive reinforcement, and age-appropriate instruction Known for patient, engaging sessions that help young learners feel proud of their work Clear communicator with parents and consistent progress updates
