I am currently a junior high school math teacher with over 13 years of classroom teaching experience across junior high, high school, and community college settings. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education (grades 5–12) as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA), which allow me to bring both strong content knowledge and real-world application into my teaching. My experience in the classroom has given me a deep understanding of how students learn, where they commonly struggle, and how to help them build lasting confidence in math.
In addition to teaching, I have been tutoring since 1999 in both private and academic settings. I previously led a tutoring department at a community college, where I worked with students of all ages and skill levels. I specialize in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. What sets me apart is my ability to teach the same concept in multiple ways until it truly clicks. Every student learns differently, and I adjust my approach to fit each individual—whether that means step-by-step instruction, visual methods, real-world examples, or guided practice.
I am happy to support students both long-term and short-term. Whether you’re looking to build a strong foundation over time or just need help passing an upcoming test, I tailor sessions to meet your specific goals. I pride myself on being patient and creating a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.
