Hi There! I'm Sarah, a recent high school graduate who also earned her Associates Degree through dual credit. I am currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and studying for the LSAT. While I don't have much experience in tutoring, I have a passion for knowledge that I would love to share. I have taken many courses at the college level in English, Composition, Communication, and Public Speaking, in addition to math courses up to Calculus 1.

In my last year of high school, my adventures in dual enrollment were well known, and I started to become the person my friends came to needing help preparing for our final presentation that was a key part of our graduation requirement. I learned quickly that as much as I loved being a resource for others, it turned from short conversations about how to lay out a presentation slide to hours long calls about essay structuring and I was burnt out. Through Wyzant, I will be able to better manage my time so that not only will students feel prioritized and heard, but I will be in the best mindset to help them learn.
My teaching style is fairly relaxed, and my goal is generally to let students come to their own conclusions about the material that I've previously taught/clarified. It's important to me that the student is able to think critically about what they've learned after our session so that they can retain and apply the knowledge outside of the time we spend together.
I am very excited for this opportunity to help students grow in their wealth of knowledge as I continue my own journey in education. It's crucial to me that students feel welcome and valued in our sessions together, and so any suggestions on how to better do this are welcome. Feel free to reach out with questions or to schedule a session with me!
