I am a longtime teacher with thirty years experience teaching both middle school and high school students. I earned a B.S.Ed. degree at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff Arizona in History & Social Studies Education and an M.Ed., also from NAU in Curriculum and Instruction.
Along the way, I have gained experience as a middle and high school teacher at public, private and charter schools that included working with marginalized student populations for whom traditional school settings were not working. These students were from diverse ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds and included students with various academic and social challenges and difficulties.
I am experienced and competent teaching English/Language Arts, Social Studies, Social Sciences and Math (Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2).
