Hi! My name is Maysim, and I’m a paraeducator in the Northshore School District, where I work directly with middle school students in math and reading support. I specialize in helping students who feel behind, overwhelmed, or unsure of their abilities build confidence and improve their academic performance in a supportive, one-on-one environment.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Law, Economics, and Public Policy from the University of Washington, along with minors in Data Science and Data Analytics. My background allows me to break down complex concepts into simple, clear steps that students can actually understand. In my current role, I support multilingual learners and students in general education classrooms, helping them with subjects like pre-algebra, algebra, and reading comprehension on a daily basis.

My tutoring style is patient, structured, and encouraging. I focus on identifying where a student is struggling and then building a step-by-step plan to help them improve. I believe every student is capable of success with the right support, and I aim to make learning feel less stressful and more manageable.
