I have a strong academic foundation combined with extensive real-world teaching experience across multiple countries. I hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering and later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, which strengthened my communication, mentoring, and people-management skills. Currently, I am pursuing my MBA at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My academic background equips me to tutor subjects such as math, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and problem-solving with clarity and structure.
My teaching journey began in a corporate setting, where I worked as a Corporate Relations Executive and Aptitude Trainer. In this role, I trained more than 500 college students, primarily aged 18–22, in quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and career-readiness skills through group training sessions and workshops. Discovering my passion for education, I transitioned fully into teaching and founded my own tutoring institute in India. Over several years, I taught more than 100 students ranging from middle school to college level, both online and in person, including students based internationally. My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and structured classroom-style teaching.
After moving to the United States, I continued teaching by working at Mathnasium, where I currently support elementary and middle school students in building strong math foundations, improving accuracy, and developing confidence. My tutoring approach is student centered and adaptive. I focus on understanding each student’s learning style, identifying gaps, and explaining concepts step by step using real-life examples and guided practice. I emphasize conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization, helping students become independent and confident learners. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to reduce math anxiety and help students enjoy the learning process.
