I am a Data Scientist and graduate student at the University of Southern California, pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Data Science. I also hold a BS in Economics & Data Science from USC. My background spans mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, and applied data engineering and machine learning.

I have worked in both industry and research settings, building data pipelines, automating analytical workflows, developing machine learning models, and creating dashboards for real-world decision-making. My experience includes applied data science work at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, graph machine learning research at the USC Data Science Lab, and prior roles focused on automation, financial modeling, and analytics. I have also conducted academic research in economics and machine learning and presented at conferences such as PENREC and SOURCE.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my long and diverse teaching background. I have been teaching for most of my life, including classical guitar instruction, mentoring students in FIRST LEGO League and 4-H robotics programs, and tutoring high school students through competitive college admissions, including successful admission to USC. I have also provided AP exam tutoring in AP Calculus AB/BC and AP Physics 1 and 2 with strong results. I have taught students from elementary school through college and adapt my approach to each student’s goals and learning style. I focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, intuitive explanations. I emphasize strong conceptual foundations and practical problem-solving so students build confidence and independence.

Above all, I love teaching and believe learning should be engaging and empowering, even when the material is challenging. I’m very flexible with scheduling and lesson structure, and I look forward to working with you.

I can provide both online tutoring and detailed offline feedback on problem sets, projects, and application essays to support continued learning outside of sessions.

ACT Math

ACT Math

I have tutored students to perfect scores on the math section of the SAT and have also achieved a perfect score myself. I have thoroughly studied the ACT math section and am well prepared to tutor students in ACT Math as well.
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I have extensive experience with algebra through advanced coursework and a graduate-level background in quantitative fields. I have tutored both high school and college students in Algebra 1, helping them build strong foundations in topics such as linear equations, inequalities, functions, and problem-solving strategies. My approach emphasizes conceptual understanding, clarity, and confidence so students can succeed independently.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have extensive experience with Algebra 2 through advanced coursework and a graduate-level background in quantitative fields. I have tutored high school and college students in Algebra 2, covering topics such as quadratic and polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, rational expressions, systems of equations, and sequences and series. My approach emphasizes strong conceptual understanding and clear problem-solving strategies so students can build confidence and succeed independently.
Calculus

Calculus

I have extensive experience with calculus through advanced undergraduate and graduate coursework in mathematics, economics, and data science. I have tutored high school and college students in Calculus I and II, including limits, derivatives, integrals, applications of differentiation and integration, and introductory differential equations. My approach emphasizes conceptual understanding alongside clear problem-solving techniques so students can apply calculus confidently in exams and coursework. I tailor lessons to each student’s background and goals, whether for class support or exam preparation.
Econometrics

Econometrics

I have extensive undergraduate and graduate-level training in econometrics through advanced coursework in economics and data science. I have participated in published econometrics research and presented my work at professional research conferences such as PENREC. My experience includes regression analysis, causal inference, hypothesis testing, panel data, machine learning applications in econometrics, applied econometric modeling, and more. As a tutor, I focus on building strong intuition behind the math and statistics while helping students apply econometric methods confidently in coursework and research.
Guitar

Guitar

I am a classical guitar student at USC's highly selective Thornton School of Music. I have been playing guitar for eleven years and teaching for four years. I placed first in the Washington State Music Educators solo competition two years in a row and placed second in L.As's Gohar and Ovanes Andriassian Classical Guitar Youth Division National Competition. I have had masterclasses with Guitar Master Classes with Pepe Romero, William Kanengiser, Michael Partington, Isaac Bustos, Rene Izquierdo, David Leisner, and Eduardo Fernandez.
Microeconomics

Microeconomics

I have extensive undergraduate and graduate-level training in microeconomics through advanced coursework in economics and data science. I have tutored high school and college students in topics such as supply and demand, consumer and producer theory, elasticity, market structures, and welfare analysis. I have also conducted and published research in economics and econometrics, with work presented at professional conferences including PENREC. As a tutor, I emphasize strong intuition, clear analytical reasoning, and practical problem-solving so students can succeed in coursework and exams.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have earned a perfect score on the SAT Math section and have tutored students to perfect and near-perfect scores. My experience includes algebra, advanced math, problem-solving strategies, and time management specific to the SAT format. I focus on teaching efficient approaches, pattern recognition, and test-taking strategies alongside strong mathematical foundations. As a tutor, I help students build confidence and consistency to perform at their best on test day.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have extensive experience with trigonometry through advanced coursework in mathematics, economics, and data science. I have tutored high school and college students in core trigonometry topics including trigonometric functions, identities, unit circle, graphs, inverse functions, and applications involving triangles and angles. My approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding and pattern recognition so students can confidently solve problems and apply trigonometry in calculus and physics. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and academic goals.
