I am an elementary education major graduating in June 2026 with an endorsement in Multilingual Learners (ML) and my Washington State teaching certificate. Over the past year, I have been student teaching in a 3rd/4th grade classroom, where I have gained hands-on experience teaching core subjects and supporting students with a wide range of academic needs. I have worked in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings, allowing me to differentiate instruction and meet students where they are. I have particular experience supporting students in reading, writing, and math, as well as helping multilingual learners access grade-level content through strategies such as visual supports, sentence stems, and guided practice.
As a tutor, my goal is to help students not only understand the material but also build confidence and develop a positive relationship with learning. I believe it is important for students to understand the “why” behind what they are learning and to make meaningful connections to their own lives. I create a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and learn from their mistakes. I emphasize that mistakes are a natural and important part of the learning process, and I work to build students’ confidence by celebrating their growth and progress. My approach is patient, encouraging, and student-centered, and I am committed to helping each student feel successful and capable.
