Hi! My name is Faith, and I’m a University of Washington graduate with a degree in Biology. I currently work in healthcare as an EMT, and I am continuing my education as I prepare for a future career in medicine. My background has given me a strong foundation in science as well as real-world experience applying what I’ve learned, which I love sharing with students.
I have experience working with a wide range of students, from elementary through high school, and I especially enjoy helping with biology, health sciences, and general study skills. I have also worked in mentorship roles and teaching settings, including helping guide younger students and teaching dance classes to children for several years. These experiences have helped me develop a patient, encouraging teaching style that focuses on building confidence and making sure students truly understand the material.
My approach to tutoring is very individualized. I try to meet each student where they’re at and adapt how I explain things so it actually makes sense to them. I know that subjects like science can feel overwhelming, so I break concepts down in a way that feels manageable and relatable. My goal is not just to help students improve their grades, but to help them feel more confident and capable in their learning. I offer flexible scheduling and aim to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing.
