I have been teaching and developing curriculum in the sciences for over a decade, working with students from middle school through advanced high school levels. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Eastern Washington University and a Master of Teaching with a concentration in math and sciences from Seattle Pacific University. My background spans both classroom instruction and administrative leadership in K–12 education, and I have extensive experience working with students in fully remote and online learning environments.
My teaching experience includes AP-level biology, life science, chemistry, and middle and high school mathematics. I have designed and taught rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum across a range of contexts and student ages, and I am comfortable working with learners who need foundational support as well as those preparing for AP exams or college-level coursework.
In tutoring, I focus on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorization. I ask probing questions, identify where a student's thinking breaks down, and rebuild from there with patience and clarity. I also enjoy crafting and deploying custom digital learning tools — interactive practice sets, visual models, and targeted review materials — tailored to each student's specific needs and learning style. Whether a student needs help with a single concept, sustained exam preparation, or ongoing support through a difficult course, I bring both deep subject-matter knowledge and real teaching experience to every session.
