I prefer 24 hour notice when scheduling lesson times. Let me know ahead of time what you can about the nature of the lesson, such as topics to be discussed or specific questions, and I can spend time preparing for the lesson. I like working with long-term clients the most.

I am willing to work online or in person. If you are new to Wyzant and would like to get online tutoring, I am willing to help you learn the ropes.

I wish you well in your studies!

Data Science

I graduated from The College of Idaho with a computer science and math minor, and a psychology major, which included classes in research design and analysis. I learned C++, Assembly Language Programming, data structures and algorithms, and much more here. I also mastered statistics and tutored it for a few years since. At the same time, I completed an additional year of computer programming at my local Community College, getting trained in Visual Basic, PHP, HTML, and more. At the moment, I am in my second year studying data science at another university. Here, I have learned SQL, Python, Excel and much more. I have tutored in these subjects and have experience as a web designer, but am planning on switching to the field of data science within two years.

Patient, hard working & knowledgeable

Python! Jon gets to work, and he makes sure there’s no time to waste or unnecessary chatting; only exception is when we are discussing the coding topics. Jon comes prepared for my lessons, he responds all my messages in five minutes. This shows his dedication, he’s responsible and committed to his Job. Coding is a difficult subject, especially when all the prompt tells you, “do this or that”! It can be quite challenging and discouraging to break down the words into codes. The best part about working with Jon, he teaches you how to code and read between the lines given in prompt; he literally explains it word by word. It’s quite hard to find a programmer who covers all Data Science topics, and I’m pleased with his teaching ability and appreciate all of his efforts out in before and during my sessions. Thank you 🙏

John has really helped my son with his algebra. He was coming home lost and really falling behind in math, John is able to explain it in a way that he gets it. He has brought his grade up from an F to a B. And now no longer has the worry of I can't do math. Thank you John.Knowledgeable and patient tutor
