Hello! I’m Kayla A., but you can call me Kayla. I have always loved working with kids and it’s something I have wanted to do since I was a little girl. I’m a bubbly, creative, and passionate person.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in education from Western Washington University that I received in December 2020. I originally went to school to become a teacher, but due to Covid I struggled to become certified.

For now I have chosen to do tutoring. I feel that tutoring is a wonderful way to help student’s be the best they can be and succeed in life. Being able to help students get the extra help that they need and achieve their goals is something that makes me really happy.
I currently do not have any tutoring experience but I have experience in classrooms from my college classes. I have worked with 1st graders, 2nd graders, 4th graders, and 5th graders. During college I have also taken classes on how to help students with special needs. I have been able to use that knowledge and gain experience in a classroom. I have chosen to do math because that is the area I excelled in the most.

I have lots of experience with mathematics. I have taught many successful mathematics lessons in a classroom to many different grades. I have kept all of my textbooks from college so that I can refer back to them to help me be a better tutor/teacher. I have experience with most areas of math including geometry, prealgebra, and algebra. I can help from basic math to advanced math.
