Hello! Bonjour! Anyeonghaseo!
I am a mother of 3 wonderful children and a certified teacher. I spent nearly 10 years as a substitute teacher for 2 local school districts in Kitsap County. I am currently working on my Master’s in Educational Coaching & Teacher Leadership, and am certified in K-8 all subjects with a middle-level endorsement in Math. I have taught 5-12th grade Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trig and Financial Math), French (Beginner-AP French), Physical Education, High School and Middle School History/Social Studies. I have also tutored in all elementary-middle school subject levels, including languages (ESL/FRENCH/KOREAN), language arts (reading, writing, listening & comprehension), social studies, science, and mathematics. I can also teach a variety of other skills, including study skills and modality training to help students use a variety of methods to study efficiently. I do my best to back my students' progress with data, and I meet students right where they are so they can get the most out of our lessons.
With regard to teaching, I have a multi-faceted approach to education and learning. Students can learn in a variety of ways that help to build their basic skills while promoting creativity, critical thinking and problem solving; this can all be done with the idea that we all have multiple intelligence, and can learn best by employing a variety of learning styles that cater to our own unique, individual needs. I take pride in challenging my students, inspiring them to develop their abilities and talents, and I firmly believe that each and every student can set goals & achieve them!
Thank you!
Madame Chelsea
