I recently graduated from Stanford University with a degree in data science and a concentration in education. I started tutoring through the National Honor Society in high school and have continued since, mostly one-on-one with middle and high school students, though I've worked with elementary students too.
On the SAT, I scored in the 99th percentile across all sections (780 Math, 750 EBRW), and I scored in the 95th percentile on both the Math and English sections of the ACT. I also passed all 11 of my AP exams, including a 5 in AP Statistics, and earned a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. For SAT prep specifically, I'm up to date on the current digital format, including the adaptive module structure, shorter reading passages, and the built-in Desmos calculator. It's a meaningfully different test than it was a few years ago.
Beyond test prep, I've helped over 30 students with their Common App essays and college applications. I know how to take someone's story and shape it into something organized, specific, and genuinely compelling. Math is the other thing I keep coming back to: I'm comfortable with everything from elementary math through calculus and statistics, and I'm good at finding the explanation that actually makes sense to a particular student rather than just repeating the same one louder.
