Hello! I'm Kalpana, a certified K–12 Math teacher with a Master's degree in Education, over 8 years of private tutoring experience, and more than 5 years teaching mathematics in a public school. I specialize in Middle School Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Precalculus, and I work with students of all grade levels. Whether you're looking to improve grades, prepare for an upcoming test, strengthen foundational skills, or get ahead in class, I tailor each lesson to your individual learning style, pace, and goals to help you succeed.
My teaching philosophy is simple: I believe students learn best when they understand why math works, not just how to follow steps. I use clear explanations, visual models, and technology to make challenging concepts easier to understand while helping students develop confidence and become independent problem-solvers. I have experience supporting students with ADHD, dyslexia, and math anxiety, as well as those seeking advanced academic challenges. Many of my students have improved by one or more letter grades through consistent, personalized instruction. I primarily offer online tutoring and am available weekday evenings after 5:00 PM Pacific Time, with flexible weekend scheduling. I look forward to helping you build confidence and achieve your math goals!
