I am a graduate of Central Washington University. In 2021, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Social Studies Teaching, earning my certificate and endorsement in teaching Social Studies. In 2023, I completed my Masters Degree in History, writing a thesis focusing on the American Revolution and the generational shift between leaders and phases of the Revolution. I am a graduate of Central Washington University. In 2021, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Social Studies Teaching, earning my certificate and endorsement in teaching Social Studies. In 2023, I completed my Masters Degree in History, writing a thesis focusing on the American Revolution and the generational shift between leaders and phases of the Revolution. My thesis has won two awards from CWU, the Top Miller Award for best thesis in the History department, and the Dale and Jo Comstock Award for best graduate thesis of the 2023-2024 school year.

During my time as a graduate student, I worked as a TA for two years, helping my fellow college students both in the classroom and out. Since February 2024, I have been working as a substitute teacher, working in four different school districts across the lower Yakima Valley. I am currently seeking a full time teaching job as a History teacher, but I am happy to continue subbing every day until I can get hired. My hope as a tutor is to make a difference in the lives of the students I work with, and if I can instill some of my love for history into them, then that is a very welcome byproduct of our sessions.

I have my certification in Social Studies, and worked as a TA for 2 years in College Level History courses in addition to my hours in the classroom. My Masters thesis focused on early American History, specializing in Generational Leadership in the American Revolution.

Tons of basic computer knowledge + troubleshooting perseverance!

I am a tutor (and classroom teacher) myself, but I get stuck on the technology. I almost thought I'd have to give up on online tutoring, especially trying to use a document camera for the lessons. Kevin listens, is patient, troubleshoots, and is thinking constantly about how to solve not only the original problem but others that might come up. He will make sure that you understand how to do things on your own and that everything is working. Prices were really reasonable too. I can recommend him without reservation.
