I have been studying Spanish for nearly seven years now and graduated high school with the top score on the Spanish Proficiency Exam (even got a nifty little medal out of it). I have been a teaching assistant in a Teaching English as a Second Language classroom for two quarters as well. In addition, my mission group and I got the incredible opportunity to travel to both Rio Cuarto, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico. During the first trip to Costa Rica I was a novice in Spanish but my passion to study the language was truly sparked on that trip. In Puerto Rico, nearly two years later, I was the officially appointed interpreter of our 13-person group. I had never felt so in love with language than when I was thinking in both English and Spanish simultaneously. In addition to Spanish, I have always excelled in English and have been a volunteer in my previous college's writing center, aiding students with their English papers and other academic essays.
I have always excelled above my class level in English and took numerous AP and advanced College courses, always receiving an A in all of my English classes. I have revised and edited numerous essays from my friend's and family members. I worked in the Writing Center as an English Tutor for three quarters in my previous college.
I am looking forward to the opportunity just to gain more experience in the field of teaching! I can make my schedule widely available to accommodate my student's needs and wants. Please do not hesitate to contact me!
