Spanish And ESL Teacher & Linguist with 4+ years of teaching experience
Master's degree in Applied Linguistic, Foreign Language Instruction

Hello/¡Hola! I’m Daniella, a Spanish and ESL teacher with over four years of experience teaching in a variety of settings—including private lessons for adults, group classes, corporate training, and K–12 education.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Middlebury College, where I was immersed in one of the country’s most respected language programs. Later, I deepened my expertise with a Master’s in Applied Linguistics, specializing in Foreign Language Instruction, from the University of Massachusetts–Boston.

Raised bilingually in Lima, Peru, I am a native speaker of both English and Spanish. My multicultural background gives me a unique perspective on language learning, as I understand first-hand the cultural and linguistic nuances that make communication authentic. Having also lived in Spain, traveled widely in Latin America, and spent the past decade teaching and working in the United States, I bring a well-rounded understanding of how learners from different backgrounds approach Spanish and English.

My teaching style blends a strong academic foundation with a communicative, student-centered approach. I believe language should not just be studied but truly acquired—through meaningful, practical use. Each lesson is tailored to your specific goals, whether you’re aiming to improve conversational skills, excel in academic or professional contexts, or simply connect more deeply with Spanish- or English-speaking communities.

Beyond credentials, I’m a lively, approachable, and passionate teacher who genuinely enjoys making the learning process engaging and rewarding. I offer a free 15–20 minute consultation so we can get to know each other and discuss your goals before starting lessons.

Spanish Superhero: Patient and Brilliant!

I came into Spanish as a complete beginner, never having learned another language before, and Daniella made the entire experience so approachable. She was incredibly patient and used thoughtfully structured materials that started at the very basics and progressed naturally. I never felt overwhelmed — just supported and encouraged every step of the way. Daniella has a real gift for building confidence. She’s always enthusiastic, complementary, and genuinely excited about my progress, which made learning not only effective but also fun. You can’t go wrong with this tutor — she’s the whole package!
