Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics)
Indian Institute of Technology - Computer Science (Master's)
I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a Master's Degree in Computer Science, mirroring my childhood love for math and science which was inspired by my teachers in high school. During my education, I often helped my classmates with their assignments, and began to develop an appreciation not only for science, but for education. On some rare occasions, I was even given the opportunity to teach classes in the absence of my teachers.
When my son started high school, I worked with him on his homework from his AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus classes and rediscovered my love for teaching. Upon his graduation to college I signed up for some volunteer teaching jobs in order to continue doing what I truly enjoyed, in addition to my day job as a software engineer first at Microsoft, then later at Yahoo and NPario. Since 2005, I have been volunteering my time to teach students in my community:
Homework Helper at King County Boys and Girls Club
VIBES (Volunteers in Bellevue's Education System) - focusing on students struggling in their classrooms
KCLS (King County Library System) Study Zone - assisting students with a variety of subjects, primarily mathematics.
Teaching is something that runs in my family. My wife is a Montessori teacher and my son was previously the lead chemistry tutor at the University of Washington CLUE (Center for Learning and Undergraduate Enrichment) program before starting medical school. Now, I hope to join them as teachers. I finally found an excellent tutor for advanced computer science! This was no easy task. Most of the tutors that contacted me were only qualified to help with introductory computer science subjects.
Ramesh is very smart, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He somehow knows which concepts I was not getting and then explained them to me in an easy to understand way. He really focuses on teaching the material versus just learning just enough to get through it. Ramesh brings the ideal combination of education and real world professional experience developing software for Seattle's most successful commercial software companies.
I highly recommend Ramesh for anyone looking for help with advanced computer science theory or practical application development.
My son took programming lesson and was very pleased with Rakesh's teaching style and what he had to offer. Ramesh helped him trouble shoot a program he was working on. He was extremely patient.
My 17 year old daughter's review of Ramesh is that he is highly knowledgeable and very patient tutor. His interest is not just in getting you past the issue you may be having but making sure you understand. As a parent I greatly appreciate that he is taking the time to TEACH, it is what everyone should be looking for in every tutor!
Ramesh is a great tutor. My son is in high school and is struggling in Physics. Ramesh is great in explaining and teaching the subject to my son. Thank you!
This is the first time I have ever hired a tutor, so I really didn't know what to expect. Ramesh was very patient as we went over the material, and never became frustrated when he had to repeat some items, sometimes 2 or 3 times before I finally understood it. I walked away with a much better understanding of the material, and have decided to engage him on a weekly basis into the foreseeable future.
Good communicator and very positive about succeeding! On time for appointment and very flexible with times and place. Pushes me to reach my potential with my Chemistry.
I've met with Ramesh a few times regarding my Chem 162 material. He is always on time and well prepared. Stays focused and gives efficient lessons. Really understanding about questions. Knowledgeable and has a very good grasp on the subject.
I met up with Ramesh for a one hour session one week ago. He helped me work through several math problems helping me understand how to solve complex algebra problems. He is very kind and understanding. I am looking forward to our 1 hour session this evening.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I loved math from early age and love to solve puzzles (especially math). I taught Math all through high school for my son and he his now MD from Mayo clinic after he finished B.S in Bio-Chemistry from Univ. of Washington.
I have been volunteer tutor at KCLS libraries for over 8 years. Majority of the children need help with basic math skills.
I have an engineering degree in electronics and a master's in computer sciences.
For last eight years I have been volunteering at KCLS libraries helping children with their homework. Most of the children need help with basic math skills. I taught math and sciences to my son, and he is an MD from Mayo Clinic.

I have a graduate degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, in Chennai, India.
I worked in Microsoft for 13 years and all my programming was done in C/C++.
I developed C programs which are part of Windows Operating System.
I have a Masters in Computer Science degree from IIT Madras (in India). I have started programming in 1980 and still program.
In the last 8 years I have written over 100K lines of C# and Java code. Most of this code is web application middle-tier. I have designed, built and deployed analytics applications (all in C3) in the last 10 years.
I have an Engineering degree in Electronics and Masters in Computer sciences. I am very good in math and sciences. Being good at Math makes Physics and Chemistry easy to learn and teach. I taught Chemistry to my son who has a B.S degree from Uni. Of Washington in Bio-Chemistry.
I have a Graduate degree in Computer Science from IIT Madras - India.
I have been programming for over 30 years. I worked at Microsoft for 13 years and all of it in technical role where programming tasks take more than 50% of daily work.
I have designed and developed IETF Standards for Network Bandwidth management. Most of this work is design sophisticated algorithms.
I have a Masters in Computer Science degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. I have over 30 years of programming experience and half of that experience is at Microsoft. I have programmed in C, C++, C# and Java. I have multiple patents and and authored Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards. I can send you a scanned copy of my Educational degrees.
I have been programming for over 20 years. I have a computer science graduate degree. I worked for Microsoft for 13 years. Most of this time I was actively developing complex systems in C++. In last 4 or 5 years I have switched to C# and Java.
I am currently building high performance web services in Java on Linux platform.
I am very good at Math which is essential to programming. I have been tutoring high school students for over 8 years in Math and Science.
