Hi, I'm Hannah! I would love to help you learn with more depth of understanding and build confidence! I am a patient person, ready to meet you where you are at, whether you are struggling with your class's current unit, want to catch up on a past unit, need some help with foundational skills, or are doing mostly fine but have some burning questions. For in-person lessons, I serve Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond, WA. For online lessons, you can be anywhere!

By default, my approach is usually quite visual, with lots of drawing and writing on a whiteboard. As I get to know students better, I try to adapt my teaching style to their learning styles. I also show multiple ways of doing or thinking about the same thing, when possible, to find a way that works well for the student.

I have about four and a half years' experience working as a general school assistant, including 5 months at a combined middle and high school (grades 6-12), where I assisted in math and science, and 4 years (including two summers) at a high school (grades 9-12), where I assisted in math classes. I would attend the classes with the students and work with them one on one and in small groups in class and in after-school tutorial to help them understand the material better. The high school had a dual-language program that included math, so I assisted in some classes taught in Spanish as well as the mainstream math classes taught in English. ¡Sí, puedo enseñarte las matemáticas en español!

When I was in high school myself, I was a peer tutor for Spanish for three years.

I have two Bachelors of Science: one in Speech and Hearing Sciences (pre-speech-language pathology and pre-audiology) and one in Computer Science and Software Engineering.

While my main subject is math, I hope to branch out into a few more subjects eventually.
