I'm Andrew W.! I am a Doctoral Student in Political Science concurrently studying for a Masters in Statistics at the University of Washington. I studied Philosophy, Politics, Economics at the University of Oxford, where I graduated at the top of my class. I've been one-on-one tutoring mathematics, history, and writing at the middle school to undergraduate level for four years, and I've been tutoring test preparation for elementary and high schoolers in a group setting for five years. I've recently joined Wyzant, where I hope I can help even more students find the confidence to succeed.

My tutoring philosophy is simple: nobody can do more for a student's success than the student themselves. I not only teach students the necessary information, I also prioritize teaching students how to learn. I give my students the confidence and curiosity to thrive in an academic setting and outside.

For undergraduates, I tutor GRE prep, Statistics, and Writing. I draw from my own experiences studying these subjects. I received a 170/166/5.5 on the GRE, and I was in the top 10% of my cohort at Oxford.

At the High School level, I currently specialize in AP US and World History, Economics, and Government. I have previously tutored Algebra, Precalculus, and AP Calculus. I have also prepared students for the ACT and SAT. In each of the AP exams, I scored a 5, and I scored a 36 on the ACT.

I am passionate about empowering students to succeed. To best suit the different needs of each student, I encourage students or parents to reach out to me with any requests or suggestions. I am easy to reach and will always respond as soon as possible.
