Hello! My name is Josh and I am a high school math and science teacher! I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a major in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. After graduating, I seized the opportunity to work with a variety of amazing students as a Special Education Paraeducator at the local high school. During this time, I also worked as Math tutor where I helped students of all grade levels and abilities improve in Algebra - Calculus.
As the school year came to a close, I was accepted into Gonzaga University's Masters in Teaching program where I graduated in the top 5% of my cohort. I graduated with a teaching certificate in secondary education with added endorsements in secondary Math and Biology. I then spent a year teaching middle school Math and Science online, followed by a move into high school math, AP Physics, and Biology. During this time, I led the AP Physics department, and worked extensively to introduce new ways of problem solving to enhance learning.
Outside of teaching, I am an enthusiastic golfer, gamer, and learner. I am a self taught guitarist, and really enjoy challenging myself to learn new skills such as 3D printing, programming, and wood working. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with you and help you achieve your goals!
