My background is related to electrical engineering. I am a full-time professor in microelectronics engineering. I also have more than eight (8) years industrial experiences in large and mid-size corporations.

As a result of dialogue between academics and industrialists at several recent international seminars it has been possible to summarize the profile of general knowledge and qualities that industrialists wish to see in students. This profile is:

- a sound knowledge of fundamentals,
- the ability to think and to apply basic knowledge to the solution of problems,
- the ability of "learning how to learn" for continues long-term use,
- good communication skills, including language proficiency,
- ability to work as a member of a team,
- possess basic management skills,
- possess some specialist knowledge in a specific discipline,
- possess a degree of interdisciplinary.

Through my teaching approach, I’ll always keep those basic and important concepts in mind. As a professor, I have a mentoring role in helping students to find the answer to technical issues and also help them in getting confidence in themselves. I always do that by establishing a working relationship with my students through listening patiently, sharing myself, being constructive, not being overbearing and finally by motivating undergraduate students to pursue graduate studies.

I complete a master degree in electrical engineering with emphasis on using VHDL to implement complete digital logics. After my graduation I worked as integrated circuits (IC) design engineer for two (2) years before enrolling in my PhD program. The focus of my PhD thesis was on low-power and low-voltage microelectronic circuits and systems for bio-medical applications. I worked as consulting engineer for several IC design company and also taught Circuit Analysis, Signal & Systems, Introduction to microelectronics, Analog integrated circuit design since then.
