As a child who struggled greatly with math but went on to become a college calculus teaching assistant, I am particularly good at helping learners who struggle with complex math and science concepts by boiling them down to the very-basics and often approaching them in unconventional ways.
I'm happy to do subject specific tutoring or be a general "study assistant," aiding with homework assignments, improving study skills, and ensuring those tough concepts are mastered as they appear in your child's curriculum. I prefer to work with kids ages 8 to 15 but am willing to tutor beginning college math as well.
Scheduling is limited to mornings, some evenings, and weekends. I encourage an initial free session to make sure I am a good match for your child.
As a part-time tutor, I do have other employment. I also make myself available by phone, email, text and zoom if needed.
