Hi, I’m Matt. I’ve been passionate about helping others learn for as long as I can remember. At Goddard College, I helped students plan their curriculum, stay on track with degree requirements, and pursue personal academic goals. I’ve always loved seeing others succeed and take ownership of their learning.
In high school, I served as student body president, led the GSA for two years, and received the Youth Impact Award for my leadership and service. These roles helped shape my approach to tutoring—one based on listening, encouragement, and thoughtful planning.
I specialize in English writing, SAT prep (thanks to my time in Upward Bound), political and economic history, and math through advanced algebra. I have a solid background in trigonometry and physics and am happy to help with a variety of subjects where I can prepare in advance if needed.
I also work with students to discover how they learn best. With so many tools and strategies available today, my focus is on building a personalized plan that fits your needs, interests, and strengths—then adjusting as needed to stay effective and engaging.
Tutoring Policies
Once a session is scheduled, students have 24 hours to cancel or reschedule without penalty. After that, they are locked into the appointment and any cancellation will be charged 50% of the session fee. If a student cancels within 48 hours of the session, the full rate will be charged. While I understand that emergencies can happen, exceptions are rare and considered on a case-by-case basis. I also charge a $15 rescheduling fee after one free short-notice (48hr) reschedule. After three changes, we’ll make a new plan to move forward consistently.
If you’re looking for someone who will meet you where you are and help you get where you want to go, I’d love to work with you. Reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
