Hi, I'm Collin! My tutoring philosophy is to engage with students and meet them where they are. My goal in each student interaction is to briefly get to know the student so that I can explain content in a tailored manner—an experience that they may not be receiving in a classroom of 20 other students. I understand that each student thinks slightly differently, and hearing about their hobbies and passion often allows me to connect with students and enables learning to happen quicker and and more successfully than jumping straight into content and delivering a cookie cutter lecture.

I am a passionate student at Middlebury College in Addison County, Vermont. Majoring in Biology with a minor in Global Health, my experience spans STEM and humanities alike. My high school education covered AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Psychology, AP Calculus BC, AP European History, and AP United States History. I played multiple sports in high school: track and field, alpine ski racing, and competitive rock climbing. Throughout high school and into college, I was a summer camp counselor and program instructor at a rock climbing gym.

My experience shows that I am positioned to successfully engage with students and help them understand challenging topics. I have proven this through successful tutoring throughout high school with the National Honor Society. Thus far in college, I have not tutored students; however, being now in my Sophomore year, I feel confident that my schedule is able to handle the time required to successfully tutor students as I have in the past.
