As a Mathematics Educator and Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of international leadership experience, I bring a unique "real-world" perspective to the classroom that transforms abstract equations into tangible, exciting concepts. I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, which allow me to show students exactly how the math they learn today is used in global operations and engineering projects. Currently, I hold a VADOE Provisional License in Mathematics (6-12) and have successfully completed my Praxis qualifications, ensuring that my teaching is grounded in both professional expertise and Virginia's rigorous educational standards.

My recent teaching experience includes serving as a Mathematics Teacher for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) in Woodbridge, where I specialized in Geometry and Algebra for high school students. In the classroom, I am known for increasing student engagement by 25% by integrating interactive technology like Desmos, IXL, and Magma. I also have experience as a Teacher Assistant in Manassas, where I worked closely with students at various learning paces to adapt materials and ensure productive classroom management. This combination of large-group instruction and personalized, one-on-one support allows me to meet the diverse needs of every learner.

I believe math becomes fun when it is collaborative and relevant. My tutoring approach utilizes team-based problem-solving and "real-life" situational context—such as engineering case studies—to make subjects like Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Advanced Geometry accessible and rewarding. Whether I am helping a student master the Virginia SOL requirements or diving into complex Calculus, I focus on building confidence through data-driven learning paths and visual mathematical models. My goal is to move beyond rote memorization and help students develop a genuine mastery of the subject that will serve them throughout their academic careers.
