I hold both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Sociology, and I’ve spent my academic and professional career deeply engaged in research, writing, and critical analysis. My studies focused heavily on social theory, inequality, and research methods, all of which gave me a strong foundation for helping students develop clarity and confidence in their writing. I’ve worked in litigation support for several years, where precision, analysis, and clear written communication are key, so I bring both academic and real-world experience to my tutoring.
Before joining Wyzant, I wrote for online publications and assisted college students with research papers, essays, and academic projects. Through this work, I learned how to meet students where they are—breaking down complex topics, improving structure and argument flow, and strengthening grammar and style. I specialize in helping students turn scattered ideas into cohesive, well-argued papers that reflect their own voice and understanding.
I’ve worked with high school and college students in one-on-one settings, both virtually and in person. My approach is supportive but structured: I guide students to think critically, plan strategically, and communicate effectively. Whether it’s a sociology paper, college essay, or research project, I help students not only complete the assignment but also understand the process behind strong writing and analysis. My goal is always to make writing feel less intimidating and more empowering.
